I was born in Gilfach Goch and am the youngest of five children. I attended Tonyrefail Grammar School before starting nursing training at East Glamorgan Hospital. I am married to Mike and we have four children between us, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I am now retired having previously been self employed for many years running a petrol station, Post Office and Video/DVD rental shops. As well as a Community Councillor (since 2004) I have also been Chairperson of Talbot Green Community Centre and Pavilion for the past 11 years. My hobbies are reading, quiz programmes, community work and wine tasting! I have lived in Talbot Green since 1997 and want to make Talbot Green a more colourful place to live in and my projects such as flower baskets and tree planting are a good starting point. I also write the Talbot Green column for the Llantrisant Observer. I love reading and cooking and spending time with my Grandchildren. I am currently learning British Sign Language.
